Memory Lost es un shooter cyberpunk que parece traído del futuro

With a powerful aesthetic and original gameplay mechanics, La memoria perdida arrives on physical format for PlayStation 5 with the aim of offering something different within the action genre. This third-person shooter, set in a cyberpunk world full of tension and narrative, does not just involve shooting: here you can become your enemies to use their abilities for your own benefit. The game was developed by Peligro mágico and published digitally by Juegos de Esdigital.

The physical edition, known as Edición de turno is already available and includes the base game a special base and a metallic poster featuring the game’s artwork. This has been designed by P.m, who also handled its manufacturing and distribution. An interesting addition for collectors or those who appreciate well-presented editions with meticulous attention to detail.

A cyberpunk nightmare with its own identity

La memoria perdida is a thrilling shooter with a narrative focus where you don’t just fight your enemies: you become them. As an artificial intelligence created by the corporation RedSky, your existence begins in the laboratories of your own oppressors. But something has gone wrong. Now, you face your creators, determined to uncover the truth and take control of your destiny.

The action takes place in Detraxis, a dystopian city governed by merciless corporations conducting inhumane experiments on its residents. Survival in this brutal world depends not only on strength but also on the ability to adapt, make decisions… and possess your enemies.

Combat with body swapping

The game’s main mechanic revolves around real-time enemy control. As a digital entity, you can possess any enemy and take over their abilities, weapons, and combat style. The pace is intense, with constant body swaps, combinations of melee attacks, and over 77 unique weapons that you can use in very different ways.

La memoria perdida emphasizes strategy, forcing you to think quickly and maximize each body before moving on to the next. Combats become dynamic and highly customizable thanks to five upgrade trees that allow you to adapt your style to each situation.

A world of secrets, decisions, and consequences

Beyond its gameplay, the title offers a deep and branching story with a narrative based on decisions that can lead you to three distinct endings. Each conversation, each side mission, and each action has weight in the world around you.

Detraxis is divided into different districts and levels filled with details. You will find unique NPCs, many with personal, tragic, or darkly humorous stories that fit the game’s tone. The world reacts to your actions, and discovering all its secrets is part of the journey.

Additionally, the game features hand-drawn animated scenes that add personality and visual depth to the narrative, completing an artistic experience with a unique touch.

A hidden gem of cyberpunk

It is not easy to stand out within the cyberpunk genre, but La memoria perdida captures attention thanks to its story-focused approach, original mechanics, and a world full of details.

The way you can switch between enemies in real time by exploiting their specific abilities gives the game an unusual tactical depth in the genre. This is complemented by the variety of opponents (over 60 distinct types) and the presence of 10 bosses who require a different approach in each confrontation.

Dialogues with non-playable characters add life to the environment, with stories that range from tragic to grotesque, helping to build a world full of nuances. Additionally, the infiltration and hacking component adds variety, forcing you to be more cunning than your enemies to access restricted areas and uncover the truth behind RedSky’s experiments.

And a possible version for Nintendo Switch 2?

For now, there is no confirmed version for other platforms for Memory Lost. That said, as is often the case with this type of title, much will depend on how the public responds. If the Edición de turno manages to carve out a space among PlayStation 5 players, it is likely that the project’s developers will consider expanding to more systems.

It would be interesting to see how its body-switching mechanic and artistic design adapt to a platform like Nintendo Switch 2. However, for now, this physical edition represents a great opportunity to discover a distinct title with fresh ideas and a unique universe that offers a lot.

Memoria perdida – Edición de turno is already available in physical format for PlayStation 5 from today, don’t miss it!
