Bringing more updates from the GameStop case after launch updates of Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart. After learning everything shared in its Nintendo Direct, we now have more details about Nintendo Switch 2: valuable information about its successor.

You already know that, a few weeks ago, some customers of the Nintendo Switch 2 found their consoles with the screen damaged by a misplaced staple at GameStop. To minimize the incident’s severity, the chain also published an image announcing new stock with the slogan «Staples not included» (grapes not included) and an image of a Switch 2 floating next to a stapler, trying to make a joke about the issue. However, the joke worsened the situation: the image used belonged to Bloomberg and was taken by photographer Janelle Jones, but GameStop used it without permission or attribution, simply overlaying the stapler.

Later we learned that GameStop had launched a charity auction for the stapler used to staple receipts in the Switch 2 boxes, directing the proceeds to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Well, it has now been confirmed that the stapler was officially sold in an auction for $250,000. The sale also included the original box, the staple, and the Switch 2, now repaired.
