At the start of the event, you will receive missions to collect moon lanterns. If you complete them, you’ll get costumes inspired by the event for your Mii and Pikmin seedlings dressed as Mahjong tiles!

*Moon lanterns can be obtained as rewards from event challenges, by planting flowers, from mystery boxes you receive by destroying excellent mushrooms, and by buying a premium event pass, a limited-time bundle, or an exclusive web store bundle.
*Once the event ends, the moon lantern missions will disappear, though they have no use beyond this event.

Destroy excellent mushrooms to get mystery boxes with moon lanterns and Pikmin seedlings dressed as Mahjong tiles!

During the event, you may see excellent mushrooms. When you destroy them, you’ll receive mystery boxes containing items like moon lanterns and Pikmin seedlings dressed as Mahjong tiles, among others. The Pikmin dressed as moon cakes and Mahjong tiles are the strongest against these mushrooms, so be sure to send them to destroy them!

Additionally, during the weekends, you may find giant excellent mushrooms that contain unusual mystery boxes. And that’s not all: during those weekends, the mushroom battle megaphone will be available up to 3 times a day. Team up with your friends to destroy these powerful mushrooms!

⚫️ Giant excellent mushrooms will appear during the following weekends:

• September 6 and 7
• September 13 and 14
• September 20 and 21
• September 27 and 28

*During the event, the Pikmin dressed as moon cakes and Mahjong tiles will be a bit stronger than usual against all types of mushrooms.
*If you receive a call through the mushroom battle megaphone to join a battle against an excellent mushroom before the event has started in your time zone, you can join the battle and help destroy the mushroom. The mystery box you receive as a reward will also be from the Mid-Autumn Festival event.
*If you join a battle against an excellent mushroom after the event has ended in your time zone, you won’t receive a mystery box.

The golden seedlings you get by inviting friends and family to play Pikmin Bloom between September 1 and September 30 will become any of the 7 types of red, yellow, blue, purple, white, flying, or stone Pikmin dressed as moon cakes.
