Bloober Team quiere que Nintendo Switch 2 sea «el hogar de los juegos de terror» y confirma planes más allá de Cronos: The New Dawn

In the July Nintendo Direct, Cronos: The New Dawn was announced for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be released on September 5, 2025. Now we have new updates in the form of statements. Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, shared in an interview with The Game Business his desire for Nintendo Switch 2 to become «the home of horror games,» recalling the golden age of GameCube with titles such as Eternal Darkness and the Resident Evil series.

Additionally, he expressed his enthusiasm for bringing Cronos: The New Dawn to the console: «I’m trying to make my dreams come true. I’m a big fan of Nintendo. I grew up with Nintendo consoles. The most important horror games, like Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4… were available on Nintendo GameCube. It was a golden age for Nintendo fans. In some way, we would like to be the ones who open a new chapter for Nintendo right now».

Babieno mentioned that Bloober Team has plans for the future, but they are not yet ready to reveal them. Keep an eye out for more details.

Regarding Cronos: The New Dawn, remember that it was recently also announced as a physical edition for Nintendo Switch 2, although it is a game key card.

With this release, the studio behind the new version of Silent Hill 2 brings a third-person horror and survival game where time is the deadliest weapon available to players… and perhaps the most terrifying enemy they will have to face.
