The thing is that recently the rumors rekindled for July 2025 with possible games from a general Direct. A «miss» by Nintendo also increased speculation and later the rumors resurfaced again for this month of July.

Natthehate, a known industry leaker, said that there would not be a Direct last week, and it was indeed so. Then he raised alarms by stating that there would be a Direct this month of July after the release of Donkey Kong Bananza. In the same video, he provided unconfirmed details about the Switch 2.

Natethehate says that several third-party developers like Capcom, Sega, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco and others have decided not to announce their games for Nintendo Switch 2 yet. He claims they already have titles ready and plan to provide extensive support for the new console, but adds that these companies are waiting for the right moment to make their projects public. Maybe this month is the time?
