Haga un gran chapoteo en la temporada 18: ¡el estadio rápido! – Noticias

Season 18 is coming and it’s sure to make a splash! We’re talking about the evolution of the largest stadium yet, a new aquatic support hero, a full PvP update with the Perks system, two unique legendary skins, and more. Then, the Summer Games bring the heat with third-person POV Lucio Ball, and there’s even more in the store, so let’s ride the wave!

Stadium Report

The stadium continues to level up with hero additions, new forms and locations to play, fresh features, and an upgraded reinforced item pool!

Recruit your team compositions like Winston, Brigitte, Pharah, and (later this season) Tracer, as they join the stadium hero rotation. The Quick Play queue accelerates the action with a faster and lighter version of the stadium, featuring shorter matches, a fast-fire economy, refill support, and cross-play. The Draft mode works like your pre-game group, allowing you to counter and outplay the opposing team before the first shot is fired.

Then push the payload through the control points and fight your way to the finish line in the new Payload Race mode. But here there won’t be a control point here; you’ll have to carry it all the way. Add the Barrel Mine, Thames District, and the new Oasis Gardens map, an expanded item set (3 new items, 10 major reworks, 9 balance updates), plus the Epic Mei, Reinhardt, ANA, and the legendary All-Star D.Va Elite rewards… and the stadium feels more like the major leagues than ever!

New Support Hero: Wuyang

Wuyang is ready to rewrite the rulebook on supporting! The aquatic prodigy from the Wuxing Water College adapts the healing rules with a kit built for sharp focus, quick thinking, and fluid movement.

His Xuanwu squad launches water orbs in the air that can be detonated at will, delivering explosion damage or interrupting critical moments. Guardian Wave pushes back enemies while increasing ally healing, and the Restorative Current adjusts its healing over time to match the battle flow. For quick repositioning, the Rushing Torrent lets Wuyang ride water currents to dodge danger or join his team in an instant. His Tidal Surge gives a speed boost to a target ally or himself before exploding into a powerful push that can turn the tide in clutch moments.

With advantages like overflow and balance for constant regeneration, or flow and rain burst for high-impact plays, Wuyang brings a bold and adaptive style to the support lineup.

PvP Update and Perks

Season 18 will start with a full system update that redefines competitive strategy and surges with over 50 new hero-specific perks and many other changes. Every hero gets at least one fresh perk to play with, while updated and rebalanced options for heroes like Lucio, Winston, and Pharah open the door for smarter team compositions and more creative builds.

A full ranking reset means everyone starts with new placement matches for a fair opportunity in their climb, supported by a gradual MMR reset that keeps the competition smooth from your first game. Adjusted rank thresholds (especially in higher tiers) reflect true skill better, and stricter MMR ranks make it easier to queue with friends in ranked. Built for experimentation, strategy shifts, and unexpected plays, this competitive update sets the stage for an entirely new meta.

Double Mythic

Season 18 has two exceptional mythics on the way, designed to evolve with you throughout the season and beyond!

In a world fallen without heroes, there was only one who could rise against the specter of war. Using cutting-edge cybernetic light technology, Sojourn transformed into the UltraViolet Sentinel: a radiant figure who inspired others to join the fight. Command the UltraViolet Sentinel Hero Skin to level up your gear with four levels of visual upgrades, including customizable hairstyles, unique visual/audio effects, and colors.

  • Level 1 Unlocks the base skin with a new cybernetic suit and new visual/audio effects for all key abilities, making you feel transformed by cutting-edge light technology, combined with white color and a LOC hairstyle.
  • Level 2 Changes Sojourn’s look with an elegant, spiky hairstyle and a pink color, bringing extra energy to every match.
  • Level 3 Introduces long braids with black and red color for a more dominant presence on the battlefield.
  • Level 4 Adds fully switchable VFX, allowing you to activate an additional visual touch and really stand out.

Get ready to fly over your enemies, like Cassidy’s Blazing Sunsetter that responds to every trigger pull, heating up with a reactive touch and a deadly bloom. The next evolution in Overwatch 2 Cosmetics, the Blazing Sunsetter features a volatile revolver that melts into your gameplay. With new overheating visuals that respond in real-time to your fire, this weapon is more than stylish—it literally heats up in your hands. Plus, four levels to heat up your gameplay and a lethal death effect, this revolver is made to show off!

  • Level 1 Unlocks the Blazing Sunsetter with a high-tech tactical model designed for high noon confrontations.
  • Level 2 Activates dynamic reactivity. The weapon overheats with your fire, ejecting casings to reveal its molten core.
  • Level 3 Provides the custom bloom animation for the weapon, giving Cassidy a completely new way to show off his style between fights.
  • Level 4 Brings the flex: a lethal death effect that turns every final hit into a showstopper.

Hero Skill Rating

The Hero Skill Rating measures your performance on individual heroes in competitive, separate from your overall rank. Each hero gains its own skill rating from 0 to 5000, complete with visual levels and feedback after each match. You’ll unlock a Hero Skill Rating for a hero after playing five placement matches with them, and you’ll see your progress represented by a numerical score and a bronze to champion level. Even before your rating is official, the predicted SR gives you a preview while queuing. After each competitive match, your top three heroes will show SR gains or losses, so you can track your improvement in real time. Integrated directly into your competitive overview and pro profile, Hero SR makes it easy to compare, refine, and grow. This system is for personal mastery, helping you polish your best picks or discover new favorites with data that keeps you climbing.

Hero Progression 2.0

Hero Progression 2.0 reinvents the leveling system with faster progress, a cleaner UI, and a permanent prestige feature that shows your dedication. Each hero now levels up individually, allowing you to track your growth and see exactly where you’ve invested your time. The new ascended states grant animated portrait borders at milestone levels 20, 40, and 60, and these borders automatically show in Hero Select for all to see. Once you earn an ascended state, it’s permanently yours. Early levels come quickly, then settle into a steady pace of about 100 minutes per level after level 21. Along the way, you can earn loot boxes at key milestones, starting with a base loot box at level 5, epic loot boxes at levels 25, 35, and 45, and legendary loot boxes at levels 30, 40, and 50. Beyond just hero levels, it’s part of a visible legacy.
Level up. Stand out. Ascend.

Advanced Information Panel

An entirely new advanced information panel will be available to turn guesses into game sense! You’ll see a clear, detailed breakdown of exactly what you (and your hero) can do. From precise damage numbers and healing output to cooldowns and other critical stats, every value will be set to help you make smarter plays and master your kits. Whether you’re aiming to refine your competitive aim or curious about the real impact of your abilities, the advanced information panel gives you the numbers you need to elevate your strategies and play with purpose.

That’s not all… we’re working on a Hero Stats webpage! You’ll be able to track even more data, with all your hero’s win rates and selections at your fingertips, allowing you to level up and flex even more in the new rating and progression systems.

Wow! One of the biggest seasons required one of the longest blogs in history, but congratulations, you got the scoop. Season 18 launches on August 26th, so get ready to dive into the stadium, ride the wave with Wuyang, make big plays in the Summer Games, and experiment with everything else. Splash, heroes, a big one!
